Borilli 7days Extreme SS tyre test

If you are looking for the ideal tire for enduro riding in difficult terrain, you might be interested in the Borilli 7days Extreme SS tire. I tested it in demanding conditions in Serbia and here is my assessment.

First Impressions and Pressure Setting Pneumatika Borilli 7days extreme SS

After fitting the new Borilli 7days Extreme SS tire, I decided to start with higher pressure, as is my habit. However, I immediately felt an enormous amount of traction, which can sometimes be counterproductive. Excessive traction can be a disadvantage in some situations – for example, when climbing on rocky terrain or during quick maneuvers.

But before I could start complaining, the first major traverse arrived. And here it started to get interesting… The tire began to have a tendency to “go its own way”. Fortunately, I had the Tubliss system, which pretty much saved me. The only thing I had to do was lower the tire pressure. And that was a change for the better! The rubber started to perform really great.

Lowering Pressure = Key to Success

After lowering the pressure, I really liked the tire. This step was crucial for the tire to fully exhibit its exceptional properties. It is a Super soft tire, so durability and grip are top-notch, but you need to handle it carefully. The few days I spent with it in the field convinced me of its durability.

Tip: If you are using Tubliss or a similar system, lowering the pressure is highly recommended – the tire will gain maximum grip and stability in any terrain.

Borilli pneu 7days testDurability and Resistance

The Borilli 7days Extreme SS tire surprised me with its durability. I rode it all week in various conditions – from rocky terrain to soft, wet surfaces. And the best part is, in all six days of riding, I didn't get a single flat. This model has a strong carcass, which means you can afford not to avoid sharp rocks and other obstacles.

On the seventh day, when I was heading back to the Czech Republic, the rubber was still holding up great. Not only on dry and hard rocks, but also on wet and slippery grooves, which really pleasantly surprised me.

What needs to be improved?

The only minor negative I would highlight is poorer grip in traverses. If the terrain is really steep and descending, the tire tends to slip a bit. On the other hand, it's nothing that can't be adjusted with the right tire pressure or riding technique.

Conclusion

Overall, I am truly enthusiastic about the Borilli 7days Extreme SS tire. It offers great properties in terms of both grip and durability. If you want to stand out from the crowd and gain an advantage in challenging terrain, definitely try it. And don't worry, you can't go wrong. Are you interested in anything else about the tire?
