The Path to Enduro and First Races
Jan Řáda dived into the world of enduro with immense enthusiasm. Unlike some other riders, he didn't start on the podium in junior categories, and no one introduced him to motorcycles, but he more diligently carved his own path later on. His initial hobby riding quickly evolved into a passion for off-road racing. Jenda started competing in regional enduro and cross-country events, where he gained valuable experience and steadily improved. He soon reached a level where he could compete with seasoned rivals in national competitions.
As part of the Czech Enduro Series, he raced for the JBR Enduro Team in the E3 category (large bikes), which he has now swapped for the E1 category with the words “I need to learn to race properly” and mounted the smallest 4T engine. Jenda also held his own in events of German enduro and completed them with ease. He wasn't deterred by challenges like more demanding technical races; for instance, in one of the events of Croatian Hard Enduro, he managed to secure a solid 17th place among a strong field of hobby riders.
“I was flying and overtaking until I missed a turn and rode CP1 with the gold and silver riders. At that moment, I knew the result was ruined because the bronze riders were taking CP1 via the road 5 minutes later, not an hour through the rocks. At every subsequent CP, I wanted to withdraw, but my stubbornness wouldn't let me.”
Those were his first words after finishing the last day. Every such result motivates Jenda to work on himself. His story shows that even a rider who started as an amateur can, through hard work and passion, become one of the respected enduro riders.
Racing Experience and Progress
As a member of the JBR Enduro Team, Jenda competes in both domestic and international enduro events and constantly refines his riding technique. He specializes in classic enduro riding but doesn't hesitate to spice up his schedule with other off-road activities. Challenging climbs, forest trial sections, and fast transfers – he has experienced it all firsthand. Jenda is gradually speeding up and gaining confidence, as evidenced by his improving results across races. His strong suit is endurance and a measured approach. He views races as a challenge where it's necessary to pace himself and, above all, to finish the race with the bike intact. Every race completed moves him forward and teaches him new skills.
Collaboration with us
Jan Řáda's enthusiasm and determination did not go unnoticed by us, which is why Jenda became one of our #enduro4allcrew ambassadors and, with his diligent approach, fit into the group of riders we support. Just like the others, Jenda also helps with testing and developing products for enduro. For example, new Borilli enduro tires were tested by his hands (and throttle) in the field. Thanks to this, we can offer equipment that is proven in practice by both hobby and racing riders.
💬 "If I can handle it, so can training chaos or race pressure."
